Aminudin TH Siregar

Chief

Aminudin TH Siregar, Chairman of the National Gallery Curatorial Board, curator, academic, and writer who actively develops discourse on modern and contemporary Indonesian art. A doctor from Leiden University with a focus on modern art historiography, he has taught at the Faculty of Art and Design (FSRD) Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) since 1999 and served as Head of the Soemardja Gallery ITB (2004–2017).

His curatorial projects are national and international, including Bandung Art Now and No Direction Home at National Gallery, curator of ArtJog (2009–2011), co-curator of the 2013 Singapore Biennale at the Singapore Art Museum, and Adjunct Curator of the National Gallery Singapore (2014–2015). He was once the Chair of the Selection Committee for the Indonesian Graphic Arts Triennale (2009–2015), involved in the selection committee for the Young Artist Award, Spot Art Singapore (2013–2014), and the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy's Adhikarya Rupa Award (2014), and received various international fellowships and research grants.

Citra Smara Dewi

Citra Smara Dewi, one of the members of the National Gallery Curatorial Board, graduated with a Doctorate in History from the University of Indonesia (2021) with research on the role of the Indonesian National Gallery in the Formation of National Identity through the 2001–2017 Nusantara Fine Arts Exhibition. Previously, she completed her Masters in Communication Studies at the University of Indonesia (2004) and Interior Design at the Jakarta Arts Institute (IKJ) (1998). A permanent lecturer at the FSRD IKJ since 1998, she served as Dean (2008–2016), and is currently the Vice Rector for Academic, Alumni, and Student Affairs (2024–2028).

In addition to academics, Citra is also active as a curator and assessor, involved in the preparation of the Academic Manuscript for the Establishment of the Indonesian Ministry of Culture (2024), as well as writing, being a resource person, and being involved in various fine arts forums.

Agung Hujatnikajennong

Behind the Galnas programs, there is a Board of Curators—one of whom is Agung Hujatnikajennong—who shapes ideas, spaces, and experiences into a complete narrative.

Agung Hujatnika (Agung Hujatnikajennong) is a curator, academic, and art researcher, a graduate of the FSRD Doctoral Study Program at the Bandung Institute of Technology who later taught at his alma mater. His main interests include curatorial studies and contemporary art studies. He was a curator at Selasar Sunaryo Art Space, participated in residencies in Australia, Japan, and Vietnam, and was nominated for the Independent Vision Curatorial Award by Independent Curators International.

Agung has been involved in various important exhibitions: the Jakarta Biennale, the Jogja Biennale, the Shanghai Biennale, and the Indonesian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale. The initiator and artistic director of the international media art festival INSTRUMENTA at Galnas, he actively revives curatorial discourse in Indonesia.

Dio Pamola

Dio Pamola Chandra, a member of the National Gallery Curatorial Board, is active in various initiatives, program development, and curatorial practices of contemporary art. A Master of Arts graduate from the Indonesian Institute of the Arts, Yogyakarta, he has been a member of the Belanak Art Community and Sakato Art Community, OFCA International and Yogyakarta Open Studio (YOS) with Black Goat Studio, and Yogya Art Lab–Gajah Gallery Singapore. He is a Lecturer in Fine Arts Education at Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University Yogyakarta (2017–present), one of the founders of Kiniko Art Management and a member of the Expert Council of ASPEN Jakarta (since 2024).

Dio initiated various art exhibition programs, was a member of the program formulation team for The Master, Darah Muda, Re-Play Project, and Dewantara Triennale; and has been a curator at Sakato Art Community, OFCA-Office for Contemporary Art International, Yogya Art Lab, DPR RI, Kiniko Art Management, Badai Art Studio, Mayin Art Singapore and LProject Singapore.
